MountWatcher für Mac

Used to work, but not any more. I have sent many emails to the developer and got zero response. I would NOT recommend buying v6.5. If a new version comes out and it works, then I shall update my review and rating. Current problems: 1) Multiple "OK" buttons everywhere 2) Looses all settings on restart 3) Fails to remount volume This looks like an abandoned product. Very disappointing.

It does what it says and does it well, but I am experiencing three minor bugs both on Mavericks and Yosemite (I know the latter is beta so...). Anyway, the bugs are these: 1.) If you create a mount in the Indentity Table and click create with SMB as protocol and then just click on the line in the list, it switches back to AFP in the configure pane. 2.) When you save a mount with Auto-mount enabled and see your settings Auto is disabled; you have to enable it again. 3.) If you create a mount with some name or share and then change it, the name doesn't change in the Identity Table. The same behaviour happens if you quit the application.

I trialled this for my Mac mMni/Plex/Samsung smart tv setup to achieve the following: Start Plex client on Samsung SmartHub Plex client wakes Mac Mini Mac Mini wakes ReadyNAS and then mounts appropriate drive After a couple teething issues with this particular NAS (the NAS's netowrk card comes online and advertises it is ready to mount before it's actually made the drive available), the devs rewrote the program to allow it to work in my environment - and it now works flawlessly! Haven't tried any alternatives, but I don't really need to as this does the job perfectly, and knowing there are a team of people behind it who actually want to help (take a note here, MS) makes me happy to buy it.

Had a couple of issues with this initially, but after some outstanding support I'm very pleased with MountWatcher. Recommended for keeping a NAS box mounted for either audio apps or media players such as Plex. Very simple, but does everything it says on the box.

Well...I downloaded the software on two different macs and had the same poor results. When I tried to set up a mount , first the program couldn't find my local computer I wanted to mount through bonjour and yet the computer shows in my list of servers. So I entered the information manually and it crashes. Now I can't even open the software because it gets to the first screen and although I can set my setup info for a split second, it crashes. There didn't appear to be any quickstart instructions included with the download. Sorry, I would spend the $20 on this product if it worked. Thanks
